It's a terrible thing to be killed by a vex swarm, but if you manage to kill their master, you could likely find a totem of undying on their person. They would use summoning magic to summon minions called vexes. Totems of undying were hard to obtain, considering they were held by powerful sorcerers of the Illager race, known as Evokers. My studies brought me to these magical artifacts, known as totems of undying. Many champions would use it, but it was one-use object. I of course knew of one form of doing do.
One of the most appealing subjects to me, was how to cheat death. I wanted to be a champion, but I knew that if I tried, my inevitable fate would be death by the hand of some bandit, or terrible cult of evil. But true champions were meant to inspire men and women to protect themselves, and to lend a hand if they can help it. These champions fought for what they believed to be just, weather that meant protecting the innocent, or if it meant destroying humanity in order to allow nature to flourish. These men and women were known as champions. The burned man.ĭuring the time of birth, Mythrolhia had changed from an arena of children playing with swords and axes, to heroes who would learn to either fight to change the world, or to burn it until there was nothing left. For now, I want to atone for my own sins by telling the truth about a different man. But I will talk more about him some other time. But there was one man that would change Mythrolhia's fate for better or worse. The only reason anyone did anything was for power. Clans would conquer all the lands to establish dominance against one another. But I should start from the beginning if I am going to tell this right.Īs I mentioned before, Terraria was in total disarray. But no matter what I did, my decisions strongly impacted their future. My story is I'm only the middle man of everyone else's story. I would like to say I am no longer human, but that would mean accepting that I have lost all of humanity, and I'm not ready to give that up entirely.Įvery champion has a story, weather good or evil, light or dark, weak or strong. My knowledge of Terrarian Culture is extensive, beyond what any human can comprehend. They call me the Guide, and for good reason. It is best that I tell you, the reader, who I really am. I believe I may be getting ahead of myself. That is until those who were fighting, eventually found something worth fighting for. Mythrolhia in particular, was a place of ruin for so long. War and fear were the only thing to know. Instead, enjoy!įor the longest time, Terraria was a dark place.
